Katie Marchetti is a financial and legal (JD, LLM) executive with over 20 years of experience in impact investing and international finance and law, both in the US and across Europe.  

In Nashville, Katie has served as the Head of Philanthropic Services at the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. Prior she was the Chief Growth Officer at BluWave, LP, a private equity consulting firm, landing the company as the Inc. 500’s 127th fastest-growing company in the U.S.  She has also contracted with various venture capital firms focused on driving capital to founders who are women or from underrepresented communities. Earlier in her career, Katie spent almost 20 years in financial centers across Europe as an equity capital markets attorney, and then as an executive of Gerson Lehrman Group, a pioneer in the growing knowledge marketplace.

Katie is a cofounder of Voices for a SaferTN, a firearm safety advocacy and education group that works to make lives of Tennesseans safer. She also serves as a Trustee at Fisk University, as well as Launch Tennessee supporting Tennessee’s growing entrepreneurial landscape.  Katie also sits on the Advisory Boards of ThinkTennessee and Girls, Inc. She continues to partner with national and international organizations focused on improving the lives of women and girls, including Reshma Saujani, founder of Girls Who Code, in her new entity Moms First, focused on lobbying locally and nationally for paid parental leave and gender pay parity in the workplace.

Katie holds her B.A from the University of Notre Dame, a J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law, and an LL.M. from King’s College London. She lives in Nashville with her husband and three daughters.
